Red Bull Soap Box Racer by Less Rain

Less Rain will present their latest project, the Red Bull Soap Box Racer, a browser-based 3D-game and application that allows you to build and drive soap box racers. Create and share your own tracks, challenge your friends and colleagues to head-to-head duels and win new tools to build even better cars.

The Red Bull Soap Box Racer is built entirely in Flash, using again the Papervision 3D library and a custom physics engine for realistic racing action. Join our team of programmers and designers for this presentation to see what Flash can do today.

kaleidoskop

The young Berlin-based “Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop” whose concert installations have already made a mark in berlin´s cultural landscape,  is more of a band than a classical chamber orchestra.
The two heads of Kaleidoskop, Michael Rauter and Volker Hormann will talk about the Kaleidoskopian idea and introduce their upcoming production.
„LENZ-eine Deutschlandreise“ -a collaboration with visual and performing artists- will be premiered on July 29th at Radialsystem V in Berlin. Join Kaleidoskop on their mission to transform the traditional concert experience.

The Artist Roland Fuhrmann will talk about the biggest airship hangar in the world.
Designed by civil engineer Ernst Meier (Berlin) and build by the company Steffens & Nölle – Iron constructions (Berlin-Tempelhof) was erected 1913 in Dresden.
The innovative technology premeds to realise that masterpiece of engineering art in half  the time and with half the costs. During the only 5 month of erection this world sensation was documented by huge photographs – still discovered.

On Tuesday, the 2nd of June, 20-23 o’clock, featuring:

Caroline Siegers, Karoline Schneider and Tilmann Schneider run Ü, an animation company specialised in 2D animation. They co-developed “Nächster Halt”, a television series for kids on philosophy. Currently they are producing the animated component of the second season.

They talked about the development of the series and their approach to the audiovisual concept and production.

Stefanie Hoffmann recounted the story of the mobile phone application aka-aki that started as a diploma project at Berlin University of the Arts in 2007. The goal was to bring features of social networking from the internet to the streets.

Aka-aki enables the user to find people sharing same interests within walking distance. This can be useful for dating, flirting but also in business, on fairs and conferences.

Focussing on trend and market research for the Asian market, he has been working as a consultant for international clients such as P&G, Vidal Sassoon, Ogilvy, Beacon, etc. helping them to position themselves in the ever changing Japanese consumer market.

He recalled his impressions and insights of the past years and share some stories of the obstacles foreign entrepreneurs have to face in order to make it in Japan.
